November 2006
- UAE Survey 2006: The upcoming center of
healthcare excellence in the region. The Arab
Hospital will review the efforts, investments
and current situation of the healthcare industry
in the UAE.
- Matters of the Heart: TAH examines the new
techniques and technologies being employed in
the prevention and treatment of heart disease.
It will also focus on the latest surveys and
data available in the region.
- Medical Education: World-class learning and
research facilities are maturing across the
region including a new medical university in
Bahrain and specialist medical care and research
centers in Qatar and Dubai.
- CT Scan: New Technologies and new indications

- Lebanon Survey 2006: One of the main
centers of medical excellence in the Arab world.
TAH will examine the best Lebanon can offer.
- Diabetes: TAH will examine the causes of the
high incidence of diabetes in the region. The
types and genetic basis of diabetes and the new
trends in treating the disease. Diabetes is one
of the main focuses of health authorities in the
region. TAH will examine also preventive
measures, treatment guidelines and long term
complications.
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industries: The
region is attracting many of the world's leading
pharmaceutical companies to set up manufacturing
facilities in the region. TAH will focus on
generic drugs, research and the certification
and approval process.
January 2007
- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Survey:
KSA is one of the largest populations and
rapidly expanding healthcare system. TAH will
review the kingdom's medical services,
healthcare policies and pharmaceutical sector.
The interaction of the private sector and
insurance companies.
- Asthma and COPD: TAH will focus on the
underlying causes of Asthma and COPD, its long
term treatment and its complications. TAH will
also look at pollution and smoking, the major
sources of these pathologies and at prevention
and management of the latter.
- Waste Disposal & Hospitals: TAH will review
the regional and international guidelines and
their implementation. The costs, the innovations
and the most efficient methods.

- Arab Health Exhibition & Conference
(Dubai): TAH will preview the region's premier
annual medical equipment show with more than
1,500 exhibitors, 25 pavilions and a
comprehensive conference and seminar program.
- The Flu: It is a very common infection that
can be deadly even in the most advanced
healthcare systems in the world. TAH will
examine its prevention, detection, its spread,
treatments and its economic impact.
- Laboratories: TAH will review the accuracy and
cost of products and new technologies. The cost
of exams, the best laboratories the region has
and international accreditation.
March 2007
- The Kuwait Survey: TAH will visit
the hospitals and interview the healthcare
authorities and examine the latest developments,
investments and challenges.
- Pregnancy and Fertility: TAH will review the
maternity wards in the region, the service,
facilities and pre-natal and post-natal care.
TAH will also focus on assisted reproductive
techniques including diagnostic testing and
fertility therapies including IVF. We will also
look at the social and religious aspects of the
procedure.
- Ultrasound: With advances in imaging
technology, TAH reviews the products offered in
the region and the various roles of ultrasound,
especially in obstetrics.

- The Jordan Survey: TAH will review
the efficient Jordanian healthcare sector that
is attracting patients from all over the
region. TAH will also examine the development
and expansion of modern healthcare in the
Kingdom.
- The Prostate: TAH looks at the diseases
affecting the prostate: infections, benign
pathologies and cancer. We examine the screening
techniques and the medical and surgical
treatments available today and their
consequences.
- Imaging Technology: TAH looks at MRIs, the
technology, the different types of machines and
future technologies. We will also scan the many
utilization of this technology and its great
contribution to diagnosis.
May 2007
- Finance & Healthcare: Healthcare funds and
major investors are pouring money into the
regional healthcare sector. Who are the players
and how are they being funded? What does the
market need?
TAH looks at how medical insurance is changing
to support the patient and corporate sector.
TAH will also evaluate the health care costs in
different Arab countries, privatization and
solutions for more efficient health care
systems.
- Dentistry: It is a major concern for the
general public in the region. Dentistry in the
region has benefited from a general trend for
oral hygiene and appearance and from the
advances in technology and laser care. TAH also
looks at the different types of coverage
provided by the public and private sectors.
- IT & Hospital Management: Increasingly
computerized facilities deploy IT applications
from patient records to the transfer of
information from the various treatments. TAH
looks at IT developments in various case
studies.
June 2007
- The Bahrain Survey: The Kingdom has a very
well organized public sector and an efficient
MOH. TAH will also review the development of the
private sector in Bahrain, medical education and
other research centers.
- Cancer: TAH will explore the transformation of
a cell into a malignant one, its growth and
spread. We will also examine the most frequent
types of cancer in the region, their incidents
and their demographic distribution. TAH will
look at the specialized institutions and
departments available in the Arab world.
- Positron Emission Tomography (PET): a
molecular imaging modality, is one of the most
accurate technologies in detection of
malignancy. TAH reviews the domain of
applications of PET, its costs and regional
availability.

- The Qatar Survey: The government is
investing heavily in the healthcare sector,
medical education and research. TAH reviews the
policies of Qatar and their efforts to become a
leading regional medical care system.
- Obesity: Obesity is on the rise in the Arab
world. TAH looks at the prevention and treatment
of obesity through diets, sports and education.
TAH will also explore the benefits and risks of
surgery in the treatment of morbid obesity.
- Plastic Surgery: Clinics and centers in the
region and Europe provide expertise in plastic
surgery. TAH looks at the new technologies and
non invasive techniques available.
